We are glad to announce that we have become a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, underpinning our commitment to support the advancement of women entrepreneurs in the UK.

Launched by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the initiative is supported by Investing in Women Code partners comprising the UK Business Angels Association, the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, UK Finance, and the British Business Bank.

Signatories undertake to adopt internal practices that aim to improve women entrepreneurs’ access to the tools, resources and finance they need to grow their businesses.  As a signatory, ScaleUp will also contribute data about its investing activities, staff and leadership team as well as examples of best-practice to IWC in order to further understanding of the current funding environment for women entrepreneurs and where further action is needed.

William Wellesley, Managing Director at ScaleUp, leads the firm’s diversity, equality and inclusion programme and will take responsibility for progressing the firm’s commitments under the Code.
